Centers

Prof. Tomás Palacios manages two centers within Microsystems Technology Laboratories at MIT. Scroll down for more information on these. Apart from these, Prof. Palacios is also the Director and Industry Officer for the 6A Program within the EECS Alliance. 6A is an internship program for students enrolled in the MEng. (Masters in Engineering) program within the School of Engineering.  Apart from serving at MIT, Tomás is also co-founder of Finwave Semiconductor based in Cambridge, MA.

Graphene Center

6A EECS

The 6-A program is a partnership between MIT and some of the most innovative companies in the world. This is the 99th consecutive year the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT has offered this special Program.  Prof. Palacios leads the 6A program which is part of MIT's EECS Alliance Program. 

Finwave Semiconductors

The Finwave story started in 2012 at MIT when our co-founders Dr. Bin Lu and Prof. Tomas Palacios invented a novel type of GaN transistor based on a FinFET architecture.
